Melancholic Rhetoric

Okay so the previous entry was written last week but only posted this week.
Bout time i did an update on the events of the past week.

Okay so i have passed out from 5 months of training in the Specialist Cadet Infantry Course as a 3rd Sergeant.
My posting -- the island of Tekong.

Kinda disappointed to be honest, given the variety of the other units that were open. Especially, that i didn't get into faculty team.

The only thing that washes the disappointment away is the fact that i'm going there with a whole lot of my friends.. i mean really a whole lot of my friends.. 80% of my platoon are going there together with me.. that's like friends that i've known since apache company going back with me to where it all started. People like helmi, shafiz, ridwan, scott to name a few from apache and of course, my BMT bunkmates Irwan and Dave are all going back.

The passing out parade was grand and i liked it given the fact that it was done with great passion and commitment -- and of course it was conducted at night..

Moving on, the public holiday of friday was spent resting from the previous nights parade. Yesterday, it was spent with archery ( as usual XD ) and alot more time with the juniors and we did some crazy stuff..

Today was kinda lethargic, think i'm going for a run later..

I'm BACKK..!!!

3 weeks of tough training..
Life changing experience..
Hot, hot HOT..!!

Bloody hell.. Came back to find my home broadband connection cut.. So it took quite sometime for me to update this..

And as per my last entry.. i've bought myself a new pair of running shoes.. My last ASICS Gel-Kayano 14s wasn't suited for me.. It's rather heavy.. Come to think of it, most Asics shoes are rather heavy.. the Kayanos were nice, plush underfoot and provided a firm fit, but it's too heavy for me. So i gave it to my dad..

Went on my own shopping spree, Sadly though, didn't get to purchase much. Just one top and one pair of shorts. But more to come, more to come. The most particular item of my expenditure is of course the new pair of shoes i bought - the Adizero Tempo 4.

On the other hand, i'm currently in the process of a wardrobe revamp. I'm getting more and more Adidas stuff into my wardrobe.

If you know me well, you would know how much affinity i have towards Adidas products.

I'm changing my wardrobe to more sporty and outdoor brands - Adidas, Teva, Oakley and the like..

Okay that aside.. and as i mentioned before - time to run..
Running in camp was the thing i needed to get me kick-started.. The 4km run was nice, i felt good and never wanted to stop. You know that "okay i've run enough now, stop" kinda feeling.. yeah.. i never had that feeling.. it was more of like "just keep on running, don't slow your pace, just keep going"..

And that felt great.. i ran last saturday evening for about 4km.. it was a fast 4km around the estate.. and it was rather surprising given that i ran straight after a day of archery.. that's good. Means i have a larger supply of energy..
Gonna increase mileage..
I ran it with my new shoes.. they feel great. Light and a smooth ride underfoot. Making each footfall just flow into the other. making my turnover stride fast and constant..
yes i'm loving this..

freaking hell.. there's a pasar malam on my running route.. have to detour

Anyone going for Standard chartered..??
