EPIC WEEKEND PART 2

Had another heartbreakers training. Full team was down. Our main training objective of the day was to skirmish. To test our communication on the field, our strategy and how we worked as a team, having 2 new players, one of them being me and the other scott, playing with the team..

so we started w the usual. morning breakfast w the team at khatib mcdonald's. then going over to the field together. a couple of teams were around. ballistics was around along with a new team, killer clowns. so we gathered our paint. did the normal warmups then a bit of drills.

first game was against killer clowns. rather epic on this part coz yazid's marker wasn't working and we were already lined up at the starting gate. so we had to play one man short. so instead of me playing snake (jordan was late as usual). i played snake back. our only attacking option was derek on the non-snake side.

broke out quite well. i finally got it how to aim using the barrel. somehow it just came to me. guess u really do pick up these small details when u play more often. the killer clowns had an e-marker w 'em and we were one guy short. the odds were stacked against us. i managed to hold down the snake side from the back. and derek managed to get the snake guy out. eventually. we won the game. amazing. so for the next game. i reffed and yazid played. same results again. we won!!

amazing!! that means our training has really benefited us.

i really think these new teams need to read up on the most basic of paintball rules. the penalties.. i just pulled a 3 for 1 for this joker that wiped right in front of me..!!

watched a couple of other matches when other teams came down, reapers and the most-profresionally-run paintball team - the outlaws.

we had a couple of good after action reviews. discussing our tactics and such.

the last game of the day for our team was a game w a mix of outlaws and killer clowns.

epic game. i was tasked to try and play back. i used a marker w danny's furious barrel on it. ubercool.

so we had jordan playing snake and yazid playing his back. scott playing the other front and kenny playing his back.

game on. tried to lane off the snake side but the gravity hopper was in consistent in feeding balls. scott was rather kept busy w 3 guns on him. jordan made a move to the centre dorito, away from the snake side when he saw an opponent take the mirror centre dorito. jordan managed to take out the opposite front guy and also the guy that made the move to the centre dorito. jordan eventually got taken out by their snake guy. so yazid filled into the centre dorito. we had an opponent in the snake side and we had none in it.

the guy managed to get to snake2 and yazid was yelling it out loud. he was posting up on snake2. then i moved up to the snake insert can. the guy moved up to snake3 and was gunfighting yazid and shot yazid out when the epic moment happened.

i started a run from the back, bunkered the snake guy out then moved up into the opposite snake insert can just when i caught a glimpse of someone moving into the backcentre. so i sidestepped to the left and shot the last guy out of that bunker.

woooo...!!! epic..!! a run from the back.. bunkered the snake out.. moved up to the can and shot the last guy out..!! all in one smooth run down from the back!! awesome..!!

instinct just took me over and i just let it all happen!! that was like a jon richardson-mike paxson move mann..!! it was an hhhhhh...!!! moment.

it was so epic-ly awesome i still had the adrenaline pumping thru me..!! my team was elated at the overall performance.. we were so hyped up that we were like small excited kids trying to explain wat happened. u can see it in some of the facebook pics.. damn epic..!! even jane commended me on the move i made.. it was an awesome game and the other teams were watching too..

sadly. we didn't get to play against ballistics who have a good snake player.

so this is it.
