hey hey hey..
wat's up ya'll...
been a very very long time since i last updated.. 10 weeks ago was my last entry.. having said that.. in those 10 weeks.. 9 weeks of it have been spent on the island of Tekong for my BMT in the army for my mandatory NS.
And now that i have passed out.. i have plenty of time on my hands for an entry..
i definitely alot to say and describe in vivid detail of all the times and activities i have spent during those 9 weeks.. but.. if i really did.. then this would be a very very long entry..
i shall try my best to keep this short and simple, and sweet.
I was from Apache Company, Platoon 4, Section 1. It's in School 1, Ladang Camp for those who are familiar with the island. My bunk is on the 5th floor. So it's kinda a pain in the ass to climb 5 floors everytime. But i can see that my thighs are now much more muscular and well-defined. XDXD
It's a great company with great commanders.
I made many new friends during my time here. Friends i believe will be there for me coz we went thru shit together and we went thry fun times together..
My section is crazy i tell u.. there is not a single day or night where the noise level of laughter is low.. there's always laughing and crazy antics.
And my platoon too.. We are the platoon that's extreme.. the treatment that we get are on both sides of the extremity level. Meaning, if we do good, we really get extreme good treatment.. But if we screw things up, then the treatment we get would be extreme physical punishment.. And.. i kinda like it.. XDXD
I have been trained in many ways both physical and mentally.. and in addition to that, trained in military skills like weapons handling etc.. But the fitness part is the thing i believe have been most enlightening to me.. since i love sports.. the fitness activities have really enriched me with new ways and new techniques to enhance myself physically..
and of course.. the military skills learned is an enlightening thing too coz it's something that's only exclusive to the army..
by far.. to me.. the toughest part of these 9 weeks is the week spent in the jungle of Tekong for field camp. The most grueling outdoor experience i have ever encountered.. it was really a test of my mental toughness and threshold level to take punishment..
I don't know whether to call it a good thing or a bad thing but for the whole 5 days of the field camp.. It rained every single day of it.. Every single fucking day of it.. ( LOL.. finally a vulgarity )..
The good thing about it is that the training is cut short and such..
But the bad thing is.. We're outdoors..!!! Everything is wet, damp soggy and wet and damp and soggy.. it's useless keeping dry.
And the mud.. Oh My God the mud.. The Mud..!! The fucking Mud..!! it's not those mud that u get from water logged fields and such.. those are nothing as compared to the muddy conditions i was in.. the mud was so clayey.. so thick.. it's like those orange thick clayey soil u see in those constructions sites or those orange soil that u see when they replant grass.. the mud fucking sticks to ur boots that walking is such a chore.. Mud fucking becomes ur friend.. it's literally everywhere.. from underneath ur fingernails, on ur face, to ur socks, on ur clothes, in ur hair ( or wat's left of it ), even up ur buttcrack..!! really.. i'm not kidding..!!
and they made us cry..!!! ( shall leave this to a personal explanation if curious to know.. )
I get to go for live firing and cool stuff like that.. cool and fun things to do like the SOC..!! LOL..!! My FS taught us during SOC that if we should do any of the stations.. we do it like a Ninja..!! So much to the extent that everything that we do that's considered stylish or acrobatic or flamboyant.. we do it " Like a Ninja.. "
But really.. SOC is damn fun.. it's like.. the military playground.. sadly though.. for my company.. we had to cancel SOC 3 times due to the weather..
and of course.. the ever popular question whenever anyone mentions Tekong.. Tales of the supernatural.. i have had my experiences.. ooooo.. BOO..!!! but dowan tell u.. at least not here..
