When the going gets tough.. the tough get going..
and i have to get going. time for rigourous training. Both of the mind and the body. Studies to build up the mind and physical training to build up the body.
Nothing beats mental training then the discipline of cramming up information in the head and having the composure to actually understand what all the crap is about.
Physical training. well. working out. going for more runs. bow training. shooting. endurance. Ever since training up to poly50, i've always been wanting to run more, run faster, leave everyone behind and just run and run. To build up the physique with endurance exercises. To train the mind as well when pushing the body beyond it's limit.
I need running shoes. Asics? Mizuno? Adidas? Reebok? Definitely not Nike. I do not know. have to do somemore research. Among the brands above. I've tried adidas (of course, i'm like so pro adidas), Reebok and Asics. Have yet to try Mizuno yet. The only thing putting me off is the hard unflexible soles of mizuno runnig shoes. quite rigid well that's what i think. Asics. The lightest of 'em. Well renowned for it's running shoes. But i've only tried an average model of Asic shoes. It was heavily cushioned. Didn't feel real. Must try one of those thinner soled ones.
Which one should i go for..?
Racing shoes?
Like the Mizuno Wave Idaten?
Adidas Adizero?
Asics Gel Superstar?
Or a high-mileage workhorse shoe such as the..
Asics GT-2130?
Asics Gel-Stratus 2?
Mizuno Wave Nirvana 4?
LOL. It's like the majority of shoes that i'm showing here are of Mizuno and Asics. Well. Coz i wanna try something new rather than Adidas. I know i have narrowed down my choices to one of these. But of what type? Racing, speed shoes that provide a quicker reactivity to my running? Or of workhorse everyday running shoes that can be used for long distance training? I dunno.. still have alot of time to decide.. Until October.
But for now. It's studies first. I have 3 papers over the next 2 weeks. Have to really work hard. Plus a turn of events in my FYP. Finally arranged a meeting with the supplier. That way things can get done faster and exchange of questions and specifications can be instant.
Archery 2nd, I have to work hard for Pol-Ite in october. I have 2 months up to it and one of these months is the fasting month. So there's where the training gets tough. But, i finally have proper guidance and i believe i can do better this time round.
finally. the running. During October and past the Pol-Ite (happens in mid-october). I have to train up for the coming NAPFA test in November. 9:30minutes is the time to beat for 2.4km. Weiyi set me a time of 9:45minutes and i take up his challenge. I believe i can do much faster. hopefully break the 9:30minutes i have set for myself and reach 9minutes or even break into 8 minutes..!! AHAHAHA.. siao.
Okay.. guess that's all for now.. back to studying..
