Melancholic Rhetoric

Just a single mistake.. Just a single part of form forgotten.. And it could mean losing the chance of winning a gold medal..

Well.. 3 days of CCA booth-ing.. and we have 28 new members.. And one of them happens to be Dzaki.. dang.!! Of all the other ccas and dzaki join's archery.. LoL..!! Partly because of my rather "intimidating" blog rants of archery that probably spurred him to join.. Hey.. Can't blame an championship winning archer for his log of trainings.. I just love archery.. No chio girls.. ='(.. Honestly.. I really don't like new comers.. especially when they're year 1s as me.. i dunno why.. it's just not right.. and some of them think they know all about archery.. hey.. wat's to blame.. it's called "brimming passion".. And i'll see that "passion" fade out and die as they come to realise the harsh reality of standing in the blistering sun at full draw, with beads of perspiration flowing down thier faces, the sharp sting of the bowstring as it catches their arms, the strain of drawing the bow and watch them succumb, not only to the heat, but also to the mental challenges of archery as i've watched many year 1s giving it up eventually.. I lost my 2 original training buddies.. damn sad.. i really miss them.. Jay jay and Evonne.. And watched others just fade away.. Oh well.. To all aspiring archers out there.. Resilience is the key..

Now that i've won the novice championship.. It's now maintaining that top spot and external competitions.. Got several tweaks to my form which i have yet to test out which would hopefully improve my shooting.. Now that school's started.. i kinda miss the rigourous trainings.. 4 days a week.. Now it's only 2 days a week.. And i'll only get to see guolong for 1 1/2 day.. he's gone for ITP.. that means i'm practically on my own out there with only my other GL academy mates to give advice..

School's kinda okay.. Passed all my modules.. as expected.. but not up to my high grade expectations.. as also expected.. LoL..!! New modules.. new friends.. new teachers.. New modules.. CADD, CRS, GEMs-EIC and IDEA.. Damn slack timetable.. Weds, thurs and fridays all end by 12pm.. And i spend the rest of the day slacking at the clubhouse.. Usually sleeping in a corner.. as christine came to find out.. LoL..!!

Back to archery.. haaa... Got rehabilitation at 5m to do before i really start shooting.. Not ever in the mood to teach new ppl.. maybe dzaki alright ahh.. Probably the last time i spend with my beloved bow 20/3.. Now i'm waiting for my assigned bow.. Just hoping for the best.. If possible.. i want a metal riser.. maybe one of the 2 winstar IIs in the club.. all i know is that they're upping my poundage.. I wat a 30lbs bow.. I can draw a 30lbs bow and stay there for about 7 secs.. more than enough time for me to get a shot.. so.. chinyan...!! team captain..!! i want a 30lbs assigned metal bow..!! Hehehehhehehehe...

Back to the introductory sentence.. i just watched 2 archery matches on youtube.. one was the of the Athens 2004 olympics and the other was a recent gold medal match at the madrid championships.. Both matches ended with the winner emerging victorious by only a one point margin.. But the most "influential" one was the madrid championship.. The first video.. It was between a korean named Chung Jae Hun and a jap Ryiochi Moriya.. The korean guy was all consistent and calm throughout.. But the jap guy.. goodness.. he's follow through was disastrous.. u can really see how he flinches after releasing.. But after that horrendous end.. he improved on his follow through.. but then.. it was too late.. and he lost it.. so a lesson i learnt from here is that follow through is important.. and to always smile when shooting.. It calms u down..
